Director of “Srbijagas” Dušan Bajatović stated that Serbia faces no gas crisis and that stable supplies are secured for the years ahead. He emphasized that NIS must continue operating at full capacity and announced expectations for extending the existing agreement with Gazprom.

According to Bajatović, the continuous operation of NIS is essential for ensuring market stability. He stated that the refinery must maintain production without interruption to meet demand and support Serbia’s energy security.

He added that no disruptions are expected in NIS operations despite regional challenges.

Stable gas supply and no risk of shortages

Bajatović said Serbia’s gas supply remains secure, with full storage facilities and steady consumption levels. Deliveries, he noted, are proceeding without issues and are planned to cover increased demand during the winter season.

He emphasized that Serbia has secured enough resources to avoid any supply disruptions.

Agreement with Gazprom likely to be extended

Bajatović stated that negotiations with Gazprom are underway and that the current agreement is functioning well. He expects the existing arrangement to be extended, ensuring long-term stability in Serbia’s gas supply.

Energy security remains a priority

He underlined that energy security will continue to be one of Serbia’s key national priorities, with the infrastructure and capacity to cover all consumption needs without interruption.
