Participation in the annual gathering of consular representatives
At the invitation of the dean of the Consular Corps in Chicago, Mexican Consul General Ambassador Reyna Torres Mendivil, Consul General of the Republic of Serbia Dr. Marko Nikolić took part in the annual General Assembly of the Chicago Consular Corps (CCC General Assembly), held at the end of March this year.
Illinois economy and cooperation in focus
Opening remarks were delivered by Phil Clement, president of World Business Chicago, Christy George, president of the Illinois Economic Development Corporation (EDC), Kristin Richards, director of the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), as well as Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.
The state expressed interest in cooperation in the fields of clean energy production, advanced technologies, microelectronics, and artificial intelligence, as well as agriculture, the food industry, transport, and logistics. 
EXPO 2027 in Serbia also highlighted
Consul General Dr. Marko Nikolić reminded those present of the upcoming EXPO exhibition in Serbia, planned for mid-2027.
