A new step in education reform
The Government of Serbia has formally initiated cooperation with the Serbian Orthodox Church to establish St. Sava University. By adopting a Memorandum of Understanding, authorities have opened the way for creating a higher education institution that aims to combine academic standards with spiritual values.
Officials emphasize that the goal is not only to expand the academic network but also to create an institution that preserves cultural and spiritual heritage. The project highlights knowledge, education, and moral integrity as key principles.
Broader government agenda
The decision was made during a government session where several regulations and measures were also adopted, covering sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, construction, and trade. 
The establishment of St. Sava University represents a significant step in strengthening cooperation between the state and the Serbian Orthodox Church, with the aim of integrating academic disciplines with spiritual foundations.
