A delegation from the Serbian Basketball Federation (KSS), consisting of Vice President for Finance and Marketing and Director of the Men’s Senior National Team, Filip Sunturlić, and Vice President for Men’s Basketball, Nenad Krstić, visited Paris as special guests of the NBA. The meeting took place at the end of January during the “NBA Paris Games,” where active cooperation between KSS and the world’s strongest basketball league was agreed upon.
Partnership Between KSS and NBA Takes Shape
According to the Serbian Basketball Federation, this meeting marks just the first step in a growing collaboration between KSS and the NBA.
“It is a great honor and privilege to have attended the NBA Paris Games as special guests. In addition to witnessing two games live—San Antonio vs. Indiana—we had the opportunity to experience firsthand how these events are organized. However, the main focus was our meeting with top NBA executives, where we discussed potential areas of cooperation, the future of global basketball, and Serbia’s position on the world basketball map,” said Sunturlić.
He further emphasized the recognition that Serbian basketball receives within the NBA:
“What makes us proud is the frequent mention of Serbian basketball and its quality by NBA leaders. Names like Nikola Jokić, a multiple-time MVP, Bogdan Bogdanović, the national team captain, Vasilije Micić, a former EuroLeague MVP, and Nikola Jović, one of the league’s rising stars, are highly valued in the United States. Additionally, Serbian coaches such as Darko Rajaković, Igor Kokoškov, and Ognjen Stojaković hold significant positions and contribute greatly to the NBA,” Sunturlić added.

The KSS delegation also took part in numerous activities during their visit.
“In Paris, we attended various workshops where the NBA’s organizational structure and key projects were presented to us. It is a major step forward for Serbian basketball to have the NBA as a long-term partner, and we look forward to a more active and successful collaboration in the future,” Sunturlić noted.
The delegation also had the privilege of attending an exclusive reception hosted by the NBA for a select group of guests. During the event, they engaged in an informal yet constructive discussion with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver.
