Two Boys, One Family’s Fight, and Hope Leading to Osaka: Let’s Help Stefan and Strahinja!

From Serbia to Japan, the parents of Stefan and Strahinja are doing everything they can to give their sons additional opportunities for development. Now they need the support of kind-hearted people, especially members of the Serbian community living in the United States

There are struggles in life that we do not choose. Some begin the moment we become parents and realize that we would do absolutely anything for our children.

For our family, this struggle is part of everyday life. Our sons, Stefan and Strahinja, are boys with autism. As parents, we are doing everything we can to give them opportunities for development, progress, and a better quality of life.

We are not asking for miracles overnight. We are asking for an opportunity to explore additional support for our children and open another door toward their future.

The Journey to Osaka — Hope for Stefan and Strahinja

We are facing a major challenge. We plan to travel to Osaka, Japan, to obtain supplements for our boys’ treatments, which we hope may offer another opportunity in their ongoing development.

The cost of the treatment alone is €10,500 per child, or €21,000 for both boys. This amount does not include travel, accommodation, food, or additional supplements.

For one family, this is an enormous financial burden. That is why we are reaching out to kind-hearted individuals, companies, organizations, and members of the Serbian diaspora, hoping that our story will reach as many people as possible.

Behind Every Appeal Are Parents Who Refuse to Give Up

Behind the figures, expenses, and documentation are a mother and father who think about their children’s future every single day. Like every parent, we want Stefan and Strahinja to have opportunities to develop their abilities, progress at their own pace, and be surrounded by love and support.

My wife and I are doing everything we can to raise the necessary funds. Every form of support matters to us — financial assistance, sharing our appeal, connecting us with people who may be able to help, or simply passing our story along.

We especially hope that our story will reach the Serbian community in Chicago and throughout the United States. Serbian communities abroad have repeatedly shown how much solidarity can mean to families facing difficult challenges.

How Can You Help?

We understand that not everyone is in a position to provide financial assistance. But everyone can do something.

You can share this story with friends, family, community organizations, and anyone who might be able to help. Sometimes, a single share can bring an appeal to the attention of someone who can make a real difference.

Stefan and Strahinja are our children, our daily struggle, and our hope.

We do not expect one person to do everything. We hope that many kind-hearted people will come together, each contributing in whatever way they can, to help us take the next step toward Osaka.

We appeal to the Serbian community in America and to people everywhere who believe in kindness and solidarity: please share our story and help this appeal reach as many people as possible.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who takes the time to read, share, and support our family.
