A self-proclaimed “activist” and leader of the “students” in Chicago, who portrays himself as a friend of European royal families, is nothing more than a political provocateur and bully whose sole aim is to sow division among Serbs in the diaspora!
ARRESTED FOR PHYSICAL ASSAULT, SPENT TWO MONTHS IN IMMIGRATION DETENTION!
According to official records from the Chicago Police Department, Miloš Marinković was arrested on October 26, 2025, for physical assault and violent behavior. His mugshot is also available online (https://publicsearch1.chicagopolice.org/Arrests/Details/18470892).
It is unclear on what grounds he is in the United States, but according to his own account, he spent a full two months behind bars in U.S. immigration detention following his arrest!
While he spends much of his time behind the wheel of a truck, in his spare time he attempts to play the role of a political leader and impose order on the Serbian community through threats and fists.
TRIED TO TAKE OVER THE SNO, WENT AFTER A PRIEST WITH HIS FISTS!
Marinković attempted to take over one of the oldest and most important Serbian patriotic organizations in the diaspora – the Serbian National Defense (SNO).
When his plan failed, Marinković caused a scandal and physically attacked Father Saša Petrović, an Orthodox priest! Members of the SNO had to call the police.
This is also reflected in what the author describes as a long-standing pattern of violent behavior. For years, Marinković has openly threatened women – he sent threatening messages to the author of this article even after being warned to stop stealing other people’s ideas and claiming credit for other people’s projects and achievements when we were both members of the SNO!
He threatened her with the words: “God help you if you ever run into me somewhere, because I’ll make your life miserable both here and in Serbia…”!
CHAOS AT THE KOTLIĆIJADA: CLERGY INSULTED AND JOURNALISTS THREATENED!
The latest scandal involving Marinković and his associates took place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, during the 10th annual Chicago Kotlićijada, held on the grounds of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral at 5701 N Redwood Drive.
Instead of a spirit of community and fellowship, the blockader clique turned church property into a stage for cheap political provocation. They set up a booth decorated with political slogans and flyers reading “Students Are Winning.” When a priest, whose identity is known to the editorial staff, approached and politely reminded them that they were on church property and that it was neither the time nor the place for political propaganda, Marinković’s group subjected him to vicious insults and drove him away from their booth!
After our portal published its report on the Kotlićijada, Marinković’s followers insulted the portal’s co-owner, Milan Brašanac, because he had not photographed or published a single photograph of the booths displaying political messages!
PHANTOM “SERBIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS” AND THE PUBLIC CAMPAING AGAINST JOURNALIST
Marinković uses the Instagram and Facebook pages of an organization called the Serbian National Congress as a front for spreading disinformation. The organization is not registered anywhere and has no physical address, contact email address, phone number, or official website.
Through their social media pages, a public campaign against our journalists and editors was launched! We were branded “fake journalists,” even though Milan has worked as a journalist and editor for more than 30 years in both Serbia and the United States (Politika, Glas javnosti, Chicago na dlanu, Balkan City Magazine…), while I myself am the editor-in-chief of the Južna pruga portal (an officially registered media outlet in Serbia) and Chicago na dlanu (registered in the United States)!
In this media cesspool and campaign of public attacks, Marinković works closely with the owner of “Serbian Times”. As a reminder, Antonije Kovačević organized a failed protest outside the Serbian Consulate General in Chicago, where only 16 adults, one child, and – believe it or not – one little dog showed up!
Our portal reported on that embarrassment with supporting evidence, and the story was picked up by numerous media outlets, including Niš TV, which is why we became targets of their attacks!
ARE THEY PLANNING INCIDENTS DURING THE OCTOBER 25 VOTE?
The “blockaders” have already announced plans to gather at the Serbian restaurant “Zora,” owned by Zoran Bogdanović, on Saturday, October 24, before proceeding together to the polling place!
It remains unclear whether their goal is to vote or to provoke, intimidate citizens who wish to cast their ballots peacefully, and cause incidents at the polling place!
