Just One Day Was Enough: 2,403 People Rushed to Apply for Expo 2027

More than 2,400 people applied on the first day to volunteer for Expo 2027, with applications arriving from Serbia and around the world.

More than 2,400 people signed up to volunteer for the specialized exhibition Expo 2027 during the first day after registration opened. The volunteer platform, through which interested citizens can apply, was launched on May 15, exactly 365 days before the ceremonial opening of Specialized Expo 2027. Future volunteers can access it through join.volunteer.expobelgrade2027.org, while additional information is available through the Expo 2027 Belgrade contact center at 0112027555.

The final 365-day countdown has begun

The symbolic entry into the last 365 days before Expo 2027 in Belgrade was also marked. A series of events was organized across Serbia, officially launching the countdown to the largest international event ever organized in the region. The central event was held at Kalemegdan, on the plateau near the Belgrade Victor monument, while at exactly 7 p.m. the official countdown to the opening of the Specialized Exhibition began on Kula Beograd. The event itself will take place in Belgrade from May 15 to August 15, 2027.

Expo seen as a chance for citizens to be hosts, not just guests

– The reaction of future volunteers on the first day after registration opened confirms that many citizens see Expo as a unique opportunity to be part of the largest event in the world and the largest ever organized in Southeastern Europe. They see a chance to be not only guests, but also hosts of an event that will gather more than 130 countries, and in that way make a personal contribution to presenting their country to the whole world – said Danilo Jerinić, director of the company “Expo 2027” LLC.
