Top Serbian films arrive in Chicago December 5–7 at the Serbian Film Festival, featuring a special tribute to Saint Sava.

The Chicago Serbian Film Festival will take place December 5–7 at the AMC Dine-In Theatre in Rosemont. Audiences will enjoy new films from Serbia and a program dedicated to the 850th anniversary of Saint Sava.

A festival dedicated to Saint Sava’s jubilee

This year’s theme, “Centuries on the Screen – Faith Through Time,” reflects the spiritual inspiration of the event. The festival honors Saint Sava, a key figure of Serbian culture and identity.

Historical dramas, new films and special guests

The program includes the historical drama “Sedef Magla” featuring Nebojša Dugalić, as well as Rajko Grlić’s newest film “Everything Comes to an End.”

Spotlight on emerging filmmakers

The festival also showcases works of young Serbian creators from the diaspora, alongside family-friendly films and opportunities for visitors to meet actors, directors and producers.

A call for volunteers

Organizers invite volunteers to join the team, and festival updates will be available on its official social media pages.
