The traditional Kotlićijada, an event that attracts more and more visitors every year, will be held Sunday on the grounds of Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Cathedral in Chicago.

As always, Kotlićijada offers visitors an opportunity to try specialties that are not typically found on the menus of Serbian and Balkan restaurants.

There will be different kinds of goulash, paprikaš, Serbian wedding cabbage, beans, fish soup and, of course, roasted meat. In other words, there will be something for everyone. A panel of judges will also select the competition winner at the end of the event.

But Kotlićijada is about more than cooking. As the organizers say, it is a family day, a day of community and an opportunity to support the mission of the Cathedral.

Live music will add to the atmosphere, and with forecasters calling for a sunny Sunday, a large turnout is expected.

Admission for adults is $25, while children age 12 and younger can enter free of charge.

Kotlićijada begins at noon, and tickets can be purchased in advance at this link: https://pci.jotform.com/form/262636098469169
